For those of you who didn’t, I pray you were able to cling onto the hope that one day Christmas will conquer chronic illness.
It’s time for some stats! Out of the 54 posts published this year, let me share which ones you liked the most, and then I have a huge favour to ask you…
(These do not include the introductory – But what is Watching? and the About Me pages, both of which were very popular.)
So, without further ado –
FIRST PLACE: Why we need to tell our Chronically Ill friend the truth (even when it hurts…)
“I fight every day with my chronically ill friend – is that okay to admit?”
SECOND PLACE: I think I hate my Chronically Ill family member…
“Chronic illness always affects relationships… but isn’t it wrong to hate a sick person?”
LAST, BUT NOT LEAST: What I learnt when I cried in church
“I burst into tears and ran out of church… only to find laughter.”
Have you read any of these posts? What about them resonated with you?
Looking forward to 2018, what would you like to read about? What challenges do you face? What topics do you find encouraging?
The Huge Favour:
In the coming year I would love to have some more voices on this blog. I’m sure you’re all a bit sick of my particular slant on loving people with chronic illnesses… and even if you’re not, I definitely could benefit from hearing other people’s stories.
If you’ve ever known or loved someone who struggles with a chronic health condition, be it physical (ie. chronic fatigue) or mental (ie. anxiety), I’d love to interview you! I’d simply email you a few questions, you can email them back, and we can all learn from your story.
It doesn’t matter if you’re a Carer in the relationship or a friend who catches up once or twice a year. Everyone’s perspective is important.
I’d love you to get involved and would be so encouraged! You can email me at gloryafterwards@gmail.com or get in touch here.
See you in 2017!
